This policy explains what HolidayOrNot (holidayornot.com) does with information when you visit. The short version: there are no accounts, we do not ask for your name or email, and we do not sell personal information.

Information we handle

• Approximate location. To show you the right holiday, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) tells our server the country, province or state, and time zone associated with your IP address. We use it to build the page and do not save it.
• Server logs. Like most websites, our hosting provider processes technical data such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to deliver the site, keep it secure and prevent abuse.
• Messages you send. If you email us, we keep the message so we can reply.

Cookies and advertising

We may show ads served by Google AdSense or similar partners. These partners may use cookies or similar technologies to show ads based on your visits to this and other sites, and to measure how ads perform. Google's use of advertising cookies lets it and its partners serve ads based on your visit to this site and other sites on the internet.

• You can manage or turn off personalized advertising at adssettings.google.com, or learn more at aboutads.info (US) and youradchoices.ca (Canada).
• Where required, such as in the UK and European Economic Area, we show a consent notice before using advertising cookies, and you can change your choice at any time.

Where information goes

The site runs on Cloudflare's global network, so requests may be processed in data centres outside your country. Holiday data is fetched from the Nager.Date service. Your personal information is not sent to it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under Canada's PIPEDA, the EU and UK GDPR, or US state privacy laws), you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information, and to object to certain processing. Because we do not keep account data, there is usually little for us to find, but you can ask any time at hello@holidayornot.com.

Children

The site is a general audience tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their information.
